UEMS Congress – Follow-up on Participation and Engagement
17 March 2026

Read the Letter...

Dear Presidents of the National Medical Associations,

Dear Heads of Delegations,
Dear Colleagues,

Further to the letter circulated on 17 February 2026 (re-attached here for your reference) regarding the upcoming UEMS Congress, we would like to kindly follow up and invite your continued support in encouraging participation from your National Medical Association and its members.

The programme is progressing well and the Congress is shaping up to be a major opportunity for exchange within the European medical community, bringing together specialists, trainees, and stakeholders to discuss key developments in medical practice, education, and healthcare policy.

In this context, we would be most grateful if you could:

  • Encourage colleagues and members of your Association to register and participate in the Congress (www.uemscongress.eu)
  • Circulate the information through your national communication channels where possible
  • Consider identifying delegates or young specialists/trainees who may particularly benefit from attending

Your support is essential to ensure strong representation from across Europe and to make this first edition of the UEMS Congress a truly collaborative and impactful event.

Should you wish to discuss this further or explore ways to promote participation within your national community, Prof. Vassilios Papalois would be delighted to speak with you directly.

Thank you in advance for your engagement and continued support of UEMS initiatives.

Yours sincerely,

The UEMS Executive
